Climbed a 75 metre bicentennial tree which was 200 years old the year of the Ozzie 200th birthday. Great view from the top. Off to the hostel at Pemberton. Stayed in a wooden cabin in the woods. Cooked the sausages in the barbie for about 40 people. Darren told me to keep throwing em on. Thet were piled two high at one stage. Then the underside of the grill went on fire. Hastily cooked the veggie burgers and doused the flames. Everything else was just about cooked. Stressful. We ate in a shed with a big open fire. Tunes on. There was a last ditch effort to locate a guitar which failed. I tried singing a tune or two unaccompanied but got shouted down by a cheeky cockney. As usual it was a small group of troublemakers that give the nice English a bad name. Things were livening up and the tables were creaking under the weight when a German lady arrived in for the second time and killed the tunes cos she was trying to sleep. Stargazed for a while
