| | | The blurb said that most animals are far more active at night, but this wasn't quite the case. Of the three leopards, one pissed on the glass pane in front of us while the other two slept. There was no sign of the tiger. In fairness though, that's always a risk with zoos. Also I had the fanciful image of driving around in a jeep chasing antelopes, not really something Singapore has the space for. Having said that the setup and the lighting was very inpressive and it's probably more of a novelty than the regular zoo. The mangrove bat was very impressive when he manoevred around a branch a foot from my face with no cage in the way. Back into town for pints. Found this blues bar where various, mostly American rock stars had visited. Pints were steep though. More grub! Ended up in a Karaoke bar which didn't have any tunes more recent than '85. Foreigner - "I Want to Know What Love Is", Cyndi Lauper "Time afer time" (best video - purely because of her crazy haircut), Bonnie Tyler - "Total Eclipse of the Heart". This was funny to the point, but took a scary turn when Mac said he'd like to grow his hair long again. This was especially strange cos he'd got a blade one earlier on... Not surpisingly neither of us took the Karaoke stage. We only play live... |
