Poetry
Just a few haikus I wrote on Sep 14
Bin Laden's brothers
Flew through the blue autumn sky
Crumbling two sisters
Gaze at blank pages
The wind howls in Devonport
Composing haikus
Pilgers' photos show
The West moving its problems
To where life is cheap
"You'll never beat me"
But Deep Blue won that chess game
Against Kasparov
Less happens in time
As evolution speeds up
Whither do we go?
"You cannot camp here"
"Why not? There is no notice"
"'Cause I have a gun"
Stroll on Bethell's beach
Freak wave wets rolled up trousers
Startled dog attacks
Candlelit cowpat
Centre of the universe
Casked wine, camper's friend
No signs for Piha
We'll go to South Head instead
Maybe tomorrow
Mighty kauri tree
Sad father of the forest
Children have left home
Four sisters stand tall
Circumnavigate in awe
In the silent woods
DJ plays Marley
The crowd feel one love alright
Let's get together
Purchased in Sydney
A small inflatable globe
Whole world in my hands
Building with atoms
There is room at the bottom
Feynman said it first
Soprano Sinéad
We signed the wall of The Cube
Singing 'til midnight
Six Aussie actors
Play All-Blacks and Munstermen
In Alone It Stands
